On Saturday, September 27, 2025, members of the Alpha Tau Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. joined families and future scouts for the River District Cub Scouts Family Fun Fest at Camp Horne in Cottondale, Alabama. The event, held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., invited prospective scouts and their families to experience a day filled with adventure, exploration, and fellowship.
The Family Fun Fest was designed to introduce youth to the excitement of scouting, offering a hands-on look at the many opportunities the program provides. No scouting experience was required, allowing everyone to take part in activities such as fishing, outdoor games, and team-building exercises.
The brothers of Alpha Tau were proud to support the event by preparing and serving more than 400 hot dogs throughout the day. Their presence added to the spirit of community and service that defined the event, as families gathered to enjoy food, fun, and the great outdoors.
Alpha Tau’s participation in the Family Fun Fest reflects the fraternity’s ongoing commitment to service and youth engagement. The chapter remains dedicated to supporting local organizations that invest in character development, leadership, and the enrichment of young lives.
