Greetings to all the brothers and friends of the Alpha Tau Chapter, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. I greet you in the name of the Supreme Basileus of the Universe and welcome you all to our website. I am honored and humbled to serve as Alpha Tau’s Basileus for the 2020-2021 year. Our chapter covers five West Alabama counties: Tuscaloosa, Bibb, Green, Pickens and Sumter. We are graduate level men who embody Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. four cardinal principals of Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance and Uplift. These principals are the bedrock for all that we do in making a difference in the State of Alabama, the 7th District and the Fraternity as a whole. We take pride in making a positive impact in our communities and in our role as mentors for the Undergraduate Chapters at Stillman College (Rho Gamma), the University of Alabama (Beta Eta) and the University of West Alabama (Alpha Delta Iota).
To my Brothers, these times make it even more important to continue the work of Omega. Our agenda focuses around staying with basics of what we were originally founded to do. My belief is that our Founders wanted us to keep it simple and friendly. Because of that belief, we will work diligently on streamlining processes and producing excellent programs. Networking is the cornerstone of our bond and the strength of our brotherhood, therefore we will work on communication that help foster opportunities for brothers to be friends. As we approach another year in the Alpha Tau Chapter and our beloved fraternity, we find ourselves still positioned for greatness! Our vision for this next level will focus our efforts on three points, Stay-Focused, Stay-Committed, and Stay-Engaged, for 2021!
I’m asking each Brother to consider the following:
Stay-Focused: focused on our mission and do the work of Omega!
Stay-Committed: committed to Omega Dear and our communities!
Stay-Engaged: engaged with our brotherhood
I believe wholeheartedly that we can be the change we need for this community. During the next few months we will be forming and transitioning the committee chairs. As a result, each committee will be evaluated and will need committee members to do the work within the chapter. Without the help of each Brother we will not be able to attain the greatness we know we can achieve. Again Brothers, I thank you for supporting and electing me as your local leader. I ask you to join me so that we can work towards greatness for Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
