The Alpha Tau Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. is deeply honored to have been recognized as the Youth Mentorship Chapter of the Year (Large Chapter) during the 2025 Omega Psi Phi Alabama Statewide Organization Workshop, held October 17–19, 2025, in Birmingham, Alabama. The event was hosted by the Alpha Phi, Eta Epsilon, and Kappa Delta Chapters and brought together brothers from across the state to celebrate leadership, scholarship, and service.
This recognition reflects the years of consistent effort, teamwork, and dedication that the brothers of Alpha Tau have invested in mentoring and developing the next generation of leaders. The chapter has worked tirelessly to provide programs that nurture academic achievement, personal growth, and civic responsibility among young men in the community.
At the heart of these efforts is the Omega Prep Knights, Alpha Tau’s flagship youth mentorship program. The Omega Prep Knights initiative focuses on equipping young men with the tools and confidence they need to succeed in school, in leadership, and in life. Through workshops, service projects, and structured mentorship experiences, participants learn the value of discipline, respect, perseverance, and community service. The program stands as a true reflection of Omega Psi Phi’s four cardinal principles of manhood, scholarship, perseverance, and uplift.
“This recognition is not the finish line, but a reminder of our cardinal principles: Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift,” said Bro. Vincie Cleveland, speaking on behalf of the Alpha Tau Chapter. “It challenges us to continue striving for excellence and to keep investing in the lives of young men who will one day lead our communities.”
Receiving this honor as Youth Mentorship Chapter of the Year is a tremendous achievement that highlights the passion and purpose driving Alpha Tau’s work in the community. The chapter remains steadfast in its mission to positively impact the lives of young men and to continue building upon the legacy of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
Alpha Tau extends heartfelt appreciation to the Alabama Statewide Organization for this recognition and to all who have supported the Omega Prep Knights and the chapter’s ongoing mentorship initiatives. We are proud to continue this important work and remain committed to shaping future generations through service, leadership, and brotherhood.
