On January 28, 2026, the Brothers of the Alpha Tau Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. joined community partners to support the Temporary Emergency Services of West Alabama (TESWA) Heater Drive, an initiative focused on providing warmth and relief to families across the West Alabama community during the winter months. The effort was supported by WVUA 23, the Northport, Alabama Alumni Chapter of ΚΑΨ, and WTUG 92.9, demonstrating a shared commitment to service and community care.
Through the dedication and generosity of the bruhz, Alpha Tau successfully contributed 55 heaters to the drive, helping TESWA address an immediate and critical community need. The Brothers worked collectively to gather and deliver the heaters, reinforcing the chapter’s long-standing mission of service, advocacy, and uplift.
“The Brothers of Alpha Tau understand that service is most impactful when it directly meets the needs of the community,” said Bro. Rodney Pelt. “This heater drive represents our commitment to ensuring families have access to essential resources during the winter season.”
Basileus, Bro. Stanley Shambley highlighted the value of partnership and collective action. “We are proud to stand alongside TESWA and our community partners, including the NAC Nupes, in support of this effort,” Shambley said. “When organizations unite with a shared purpose, we can create meaningful and lasting change.”
