On December 7, 2025, Brother Antonio Bostic, a law enforcement officer and member of the Alpha Tau Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., spoke with participants of Delta Academy Delta GEMS during an in depth and impactful discussion focused on navigating and surviving encounters with law enforcement. The session created a safe and engaging space for open dialogue, education, and thoughtful conversation.
Drawing from his professional experience in policing, Brother Bostic provided practical guidance on situational awareness, effective communication, and personal safety during interactions with law enforcement officers. He shared insight into what officers are trained to do, how decisions are made in high pressure moments, and how individuals can conduct themselves in ways that prioritize safety for everyone involved. The conversation also emphasized the importance of remaining calm, respectful, and informed, while understanding one’s rights and responsibilities.
Participants were encouraged to ask questions and engage in meaningful discussion, allowing for greater understanding and trust between law enforcement and the community. Brother Bostic’s perspective as both a public servant and community advocate helped bridge gaps and address misconceptions.
